THE NEW YORK TIMES ANNOUNCES FIFTH ANNUAL ‘SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT

FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND MANAGERS

NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2010 – The New York Times announced today that it will hold the fifth annual New York Times “Small Business Summit” at the Hilton New York in midtown Manhattan on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The event will bring together experts from a range of business disciplines to provide small business owners and managers with valuable information on the most important aspects of running a thriving business. This year’s summit will also explore the next steps of social media marketing and how to best navigate a new economic and legislative landscape. The Summit will include presentations by some of America’s most successful executives and consultants, along with two keynote addresses, a full day of panel discussions and breakout sessions and a Surviving the Front Lines: “You’re the Boss,” The Art of Running a Small Business Panel discussion with Loren Feldman, the Small Business Editor at the New York Times, and contributors Jay Goltz and Paul Downs.
